Awhile back, I started writing for a specific person.
The person no one checks on. The one who holds everything together for everybody else and has been doing it so long they can’t even remember when it started.
The one who looks okay, who in many ways is okay, but isn’t as happy, fulfilled, or connected as they could be.
The person who has gotten so good at performing life that they’ve forgotten how to live it.
I wrote to that person because I am that person. Because I kept meeting them everywhere I went. In my coaching practice, in my friendships, in the mirror.
I wrote because nobody was talking to us at all.
We live lives that are largely invisible. Spinning all the plates – making impossible things look simple and quetly burning out because we don’t know how to stop surviving our lives.
All these weeks later, here’s what I know.
This person is real, everywhere, and so ready for something more.
A Kaleidoscope
Did you know that a gathering of monarch butterflies is called a kaleidoscope?
When thousands of butterflies migrate to warmer climates each year and finally come to rest together, their myriad wings form a constantly moving pattern that mimics the children’s toy of the same name.
A kaleidoscope. A collection of individual sparks of light that, when brought together, create something more beautiful and complex than any single piece could on its own.
That’s what I’m building. A place of rest, inspiration, and connection – for the people who need it most.
Every piece I’ve published these last few months, someone has messaged me.
“Thank you for saying what I haven’t been able to say.”
“Wow…that hit a little too close to home.”
“I have felt so alone. I thought it was just me.”
The problem is that the people who need support are too busy navigating their individual lives to go in search of the community we desperately need.
Too capable and too exhausted and too used to doing everything alone to even know where to start.
So I’m going to make it easy. Because enough with the hard things already.

Twelve weeks ago, we started this journey together.
We’ve learned about our nervous systems and how they’ve both helped and hurt. How our survival skills saved us and how they’re keeping us stuck.

We’ve shared what it’s like to survive hard things only to realize you’re still surviving the good stuff, too.
